The Forney Church of Christ is a family of Christians gathering around the Word of God to carry out the Great Commission to the glory of God.
Our beliefs and practices:
We believe in the deity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus our savior.
We believe His sacrifice cleanses us from sin when we put our faith in Him, repent, and are immersed into Him.
We believe each of us are called to live lives of repentant obedience before Him, and we believe He has given us His Spirit to help us do so.
We believe there is coming a final judgment in which each one will be sorted left and right, to punishment or to glory with the Father, for all eternity.
Our worship is done with a capella singing (without instrumental accompaniment), as we believe this is what the New Testament teaches and what the early church practiced.
Our worship is led by the men of the congregation, in keeping with Scriptural instruction.
